His public displays of preaching and praying are enacted in an American-style, Pentecostal church, centred around a <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/commentisfree\/2018\/aug\/29\/the-prosperity-doctrine-and-neoliberal-jesusing-scott-morrison-style\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">prosperity doctrine<\/a><\/span> that worships <span style=\"color: #339966;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/mythology.net\/demons\/mammon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mammon<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"style1\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">An inverse interpretation of the teachings attributed to Jesus Christ, who advocated for healing the sick and helping the poor, rather than <span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210618024217\/https:\/\/savemedicare.org.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\">eroding their healthcare<\/span><\/a><\/span> and destroying their <span style=\"color: #339966;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.roymorgan.com\/findings\/7733-wealth-inequality-in-australia-is-getting-worse-201809210554\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">livelihoods<\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"style1\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">There is no place in Morrison&#8217;s belief system for the righteously angry JC overturning the tables of the money changers, who had (much like Morrison&#8217;s church) turned a temple into a market place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"ose-youtube ose-uid-cafda050088f6dd1e0677c0af92d93bc ose-embedpress-responsive\" style=\"width:600px; height:550px; max-height:550px; max-width:100%; display:inline-block;\" data-embed-type=\"Youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allowFullScreen=\"true\" title=\"Jesus Clears the Temple\" width=\"600\" height=\"550\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Ebx8q6kBKPo?feature=oembed&color=red&rel=0&controls=1&start=&end=&fs=0&iv_load_policy=0&autoplay=0&mute=0&modestbranding=0&cc_load_policy=1&playsinline=1\"  allow=\"accelerometer; encrypted-media;accelerometer;autoplay;clipboard-write;gyroscope;picture-in-picture clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div><\/p>\n<p class=\"style1\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In Morrison&#8217;s eyes, poverty is an indication of general moral unworthiness. As Treasurer he described the unemployed as the <em>&#8220;taxed nots&#8221;. <\/em>A judgement of economic contempt he does not extend to <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.michaelwest.com.au\/tax-dodgers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tax-dodging corporations<\/a><\/span> who can depend on his government for subsidies and <span style=\"color: #008080;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/dingo.news\/voice\/2019\/06\/21\/the-luck-of-the-taylors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">grants<\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"style1\"><span class=\"st\" style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">An example of his government&#8217;s largesse towards corporations is <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><a style=\"color: #33cccc;\" href=\"https:\/\/reneweconomy.com.au\/global-fossil-fuel-subsidies-reach-5-2-trillion-and-29-billion-in-australia-91592\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\">fossil fuel subsidies in Australia<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span> which have reached $29 billion&nbsp;per annum or $1,198 per person. An expensive handout ignored by the government and their media mates, because that would negatively impact the <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.michaelwest.com.au\/dirty-power-politics-and-australias-coal-networks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">government&#8217;s donor base<\/a> <\/span>and the crony capitalism they embrace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p id=\"\" style=\"padding-left: 90px;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><span class=\"st\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The fossil fuel influence and<\/span> <span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.michaelwest.com.au\/revolving-doors-how-the-fossil-fuel-lobby-has-governments-ensnared\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">revolving door opportunism<\/a><\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">have become so blatant, &#8220;&#8230;<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">over 150 former and current politicians, political advisors and bureaucrats have either moved from the<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">fossil fuel and mining industries into public office or vice-versa over the past decade.&#8221; (From the essential <a href=\"https:\/\/www.michaelwest.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Michael West<\/a>)<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"style1\" style=\"padding-left: 90px;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"style1\"><span class=\"st\" style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Australia, with unlimited sunshine and wind, is now lagging behind other countries in the alternative energy stakes, because of the symbiotic relationship between government and fossil fuel corporations.&nbsp;We are the <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20220324024258\/https:\/\/www.ga.gov.au\/data-pubs\/data-and-publications-search\/publications\/australian-minerals-resource-assessment\/coal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">fourth-highest producer of coal energy<\/a><\/span> in the world and coal accounts for about 70% of Australian energy production. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"style1\"><span class=\"st\" style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/dingo.news\/voice\/2019\/07\/08\/rage-over-environmental-destruction-builds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">environmental damage<\/a><\/span> &#8211; the loss of focus\/jobs in the alternative energy market, the <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lockthegate.org.au\/hunter_residents_to_raise_voices_over_worsening_air_quality_outside_ipc_meeting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">health hazards<\/a><\/span> and <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.marketforces.org.au\/campaigns\/ffs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">subsidies for coal,<\/a><\/span> far outweigh any benefits from fossil fuels to the economy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"style1\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Surely turning God&#8217;s most glorious handiwork Nature, into a parched landscape devoid of life and beauty is the work of the Devil?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\"><strong>A man bereft of Christian morality<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"style1\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Morrison is a person who has clawed his way into the PM&#8217;s job, with no regard for those he has trampled. He seems entirely unimpeded by<span style=\"color: #008000;\"> <a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20250429052216\/https:\/\/newpolitics.com.au\/2018\/11\/24\/the-unknown-scott-morrison\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">decency and ethics<\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"style1\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">A <span style=\"color: #333333;\">career<\/span> dotted with <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20190331133101\/https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-au\/news\/australia\/comment-a-closer-look-at-scott-morrisons-cv\/ar-BBTqoLg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">well-paid sinecures<\/a><\/span>, <a href=\"https:\/\/kangaroocourtofaustralia.com\/2019\/06\/08\/looks-like-pm-scott-morrison-was-sacked-as-managing-director-of-tourism-australia-in-2006-because-of-fraud-and-theft\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\">sackings<\/span><\/a> and large payouts does not logically equate with Morrison&#8217;s <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/commentisfree\/2019\/aug\/02\/scott-morrisons-work-harder-to-earn-more-nonsense-shows-how-out-of-touch-with-workers-he-is?CMP=share_btn_tw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">public utterings<\/a><\/span> on welfare and work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"style1\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Clearly Morrison sees his <em>good fortune<\/em> as a God-given entitlement, one espoused by his Pentecostal church, which <em>&#8220;&#8230;assumes that health and prosperity is a sign of God\u2019s blessing and sickness or poverty a sign of divine disapproval \u2013 even punishment.&#8221;<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"style1\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">It certainly explains his contempt for the poor and <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/news\/2019-07-09\/howarth-homelessness-positive-spin\/11291046\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">homeless<\/a><\/span> in Australia, if not his claims to be a Christian.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"style1\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">T<span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">he destruction of <\/span><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/dingo.news\/voice\/2009\/10\/26\/nasty-saga-you-nearly-missed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">fellow LNP member<\/a><\/span> <span style=\"color: #003300;\">Mr Towke&#8217;s reputation <\/span><\/span>to gain party pre-selection (with help from the media) and the model of an Asian fishing boat inscribed with the words,<span style=\"color: #008000;\"> <a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/australia-news\/2018\/sep\/19\/i-stopped-these-scott-morrison-keeps-migrant-boat-trophy-in-office\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;I Stopped These&#8221;<\/a><\/span> on his desk, gives a clear indication of Morrison&#8217;s mindset.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"style1\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-300 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/dingo.news\/voice\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Morrison-boat-trophy.jpg?resize=661%2C396&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"661\" height=\"396\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/dingo.news\/voice\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Morrison-boat-trophy.jpg?w=1920&amp;ssl=1 1920w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/dingo.news\/voice\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Morrison-boat-trophy.jpg?resize=300%2C180&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/dingo.news\/voice\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Morrison-boat-trophy.jpg?resize=768%2C461&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/dingo.news\/voice\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Morrison-boat-trophy.jpg?resize=1024%2C614&amp;ssl=1 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 661px) 100vw, 661px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"style1\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><sub>Photograph: Lukas Coch\/AAP<\/sub><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"style1\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">A delight in stopping refugees from countries that Australia assisted to destabilise through military intervention, is eminently unchristian. As is his <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smh.com.au\/national\/morrison-sees-votes-in-anti-muslim-strategy-20110216-1awmo.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">use of racism<\/a><\/span> as a political tool.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong><em>&#8211; Insert &#8211;<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/tonightly\/status\/1034926803943477249?s=20<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"style1\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>Mainstream media&#8217;s crusade of demonising the unemployed<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"style1\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The unemployed have always been a target of misinformation and vilification by the Liberal National Party (LNP) through their <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"https:\/\/independentaustralia.net\/politics\/politics-display\/concentrated-media-ownership-a-crisis-for-democracy,3259\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">puppet mainstream media (MSM).<\/a><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"style1\"><span style=\"color: #33cccc; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The interests of the mainstream media magnates are aligned to those of the LNP, which are essentially to take as much money as possible from the cash-cow we call Australian society. <span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"https:\/\/dingo.news\/voice\/2019\/05\/10\/is-news-corp-still-paying-zero-tax\/\">Tax breaks<\/a><\/span> and <span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"https:\/\/thenewdaily.com.au\/entertainment\/tv\/2017\/07\/19\/foxtel-sport-funding-documents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">spurious grants<\/a><\/span> to News Ltd sweeten that particular propaganda pot.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"style1\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The government whose job it is to manage the economy and create employment, benefits hugely from this misdirection of blame. Stagnant wages, <span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"https:\/\/thenewdaily.com.au\/money\/work\/2019\/07\/01\/penalty-rate-cuts-jobs-growth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">removal of penalty rates<\/a> <\/span>and a 24 year old freeze on Newstart (unemployment) payments, have guaranteed the <span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smh.com.au\/business\/companies\/retailers-on-verge-of-a-recession-20170509-gw0qa4.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">downturn in retail businesses<\/a> <\/span>we are experiencing.
