Over the last few weeks, information has emerged about a friend of Scott Morrison. <\/span>Tim Stewart<\/span><\/span><\/a>, otherwise known as\u00a0<\/span>@BurnedSpy34<\/a><\/span>, is a \u201cworld class\u201d <\/span>QAnon<\/a><\/span> conspiracy theorist and is married to a member of the PM\u2019s cabinet. Over in America, <\/span>QAnon was recently listed by the FBI as a <\/span>domestic terrorism threat<\/span><\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The source of this information, <\/span>Peter Alexander Richard Priest<\/a><\/span>, has released a statutory declaration, in order to clear the air about the story, notably a Guardian article that broke the story.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n He states that Tim Stewart approached him on the Signal app \u201cfor the purposes of passing sensitive information onto the Prime Minister of Australia Mr Scott Morrison\u201d. Stewart only informed Priest later on that he ran @BurnedSpy34 on Twitter. He goes on to say that Stewart was close friends with PM Morrison and that he had passed on \u201csensitive information\u201d to the PM, \u201cattempting to influence the Prime Minister politically\u201d, especially in relation to \u201cinformation\u201d he had learned on 8Chan from the poster \u2018Q\u2019, \u201cwhom is (at) the centre of the QAnon conspiracy cult\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n Stewart\u2019s tweets are listed as \u201cworld-class\u201d in QAnon circles, meaning that he is considered of high quality by his fellow conspiracy theorists. An example of his conspiracy pushing is him wondering whether Julie Bishop was part of a paedophilia ring, due to her wearing a pair of red shoes<\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n Now, for his part, Stewart \u2013 quoted\u00a0<\/span>anonymously<\/a><\/span>\u00a0in the\u00a0<\/span>Guardian<\/span><\/em> \u2013 has said that he has not spoken to the PM about \u201canything of a political nature\u201d, although this is hard to believe, especially considering the two are \u201cold friends\u201d<\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n Clearly, someone involved in a conspiracy group (that is considered a serious domestic terror threat) <\/span>has the ear<\/a><\/span>\u00a0of the Prime Minister and\u00a0<\/span>Kirribilli House<\/span><\/span><\/a>. What\u2019s of further interest is that the\u00a0<\/span>Guardian<\/span><\/em>\u00a0has given Stewart the cover of anonymity despite the threat he and his views pose. It is in the\u00a0<\/span>public interest<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0that we know who is surrounding the Prime Minister and whether or not that person is a\u00a0<\/span>potential threat<\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n Priest also refutes Stewart\u2019s version of events from the\u00a0<\/span>Guardian\u00a0<\/span><\/em>article.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI confirm for the record that Mr Stewart did pass several letters to through his wife Mrs Lynelle Stewart,\u201d he writes in his statutory declaration, and further says that he remembers \u201cclearly\u201d the content of a specific letter regarding US FISA warrants and their declassification.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Also of note is how little coverage this is getting. <\/span><\/p>\n Why is the media not reporting on the fact that a long-standing friend of the Prime Minister has hard ties to a conspiracy group that the FBI has said could \u201cinspire domestic terrorists\u201d?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Either the Prime Minister is deliberately forbidding the media from pursuing this story, given there is so little coverage of an extremist in the PM\u2019s circle, or every single outlet is inept. <\/span><\/p>\n Neither option has particularly fantastic implications for this country.<\/span><\/p>\n To this Priest, once again, has made a statement. The<\/em><\/span>Guardian<\/span><\/em>\u00a0piece said that Priest was visited by the AFP due to \u201cconcerning emails he sent to government officials\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n This, he says, is not true.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt was actually senior counter-terrorism detectives,\u201d he writes. \u201cThey did not visit , but because of a complaint made to QFTAC from Prime Minister Morrison\u2019s AFP security team in relation to social media comments I had made about Stewart and Morrison.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n He also alleges that accusations of his alleged mental health issues are a \u201ccrude attempt\u201d to discredit him. Priest has evidence to back up his claims, and goes on to say that the\u00a0<\/span>Guardian<\/span><\/em>\u00a0article only exists because of information he has saved.<\/span><\/p>\n What\u2019s interesting, however, is how the declaration ends. Priest writes that he and Stewart fell out because of the latter\u2019s continued support of QAnon on 8Chan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The document also says that Stewart\u2019s son Jesse Stewart (under the handle @Jesse_onya_m8) conspired with other QAnon supporters to \u201cdefame\u201d him with false allegations, including regarding the death of mutual acquaintance of Stewart and Priest, Isaac Kappy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
