The Israeli military says Hezbollah fighters are hiding amongst civilian homes. But there’s no evidence of any military activity here when we turn up with the first responders. There’s palpable tension. Their job (medical workers) is seen as one of the most dangerous in South Lebanon right now. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

When they find any wounded, they move quickly. Every minute counts. And the risk to the crews grows with every second they remain on site. They’ve just pulled out at least one casualty. You’ve got to remember there’s hardly anyone living here now. The city has completely emptied out. But there is a pattern of multiple strikes over the past few days.
