It is estimated that nearly three billion animals<\/a><\/span> perished.<\/span><\/p>\n Mark Butler: <\/span>There would be a time for a serious debate on the impacts of climate change, he said, but \u201cthat time is not right now\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Seven years of absolutely no discussion on Climate Change from a corrupt and captured Labor Party<\/a><\/span> that has “approved 37 new, expanded or extended fossil fuel projects<\/a><\/span><\/span> since coming to power. It has 42 more in the pipeline for approval.<\/span><\/p>\n What makes this faux compassion for the victims of Climate Change even worse is that it was used by Labor when the Morrison Liberal government was in power. Even in opposition the Labor Party support the Liberals and endorse fossil fuel profits over Climate Change victims. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The call to “strongly raise<\/em> the issue of climate-related disasters with the international community” by Nepal’s Prime Minister Balen Shah was quickly invalidated by Australia’s fossil fuel representative<\/span><\/a> Anthony Albanese. <\/span><\/p>\n Albanese’s treachery and total capitulation to Labor’s fossil fuel donors is an easily proven fact as is the history of collaboration<\/a><\/span> between Fossil Fuel companies and Labor MPs.<\/span><\/p>\n “Despite popular support for a 25% levy on gas exports, Anthony Albanese opposes it and there is little discussion about how to reduce our usage” <\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span>| Source<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The Climate Council<\/a><\/span> warns the Albanese Government is putting Australians in harm\u2019s way as it prepares to green light Woodside\u2019s North West Shelf until 2070, the most polluting fossil fuel project in a decade.<\/span><\/p>\n Climate Council CEO Amanda McKenzie said: <\/strong>\u201cThis project is a climate bomb that will unleash more than four billion tonnes of pollution, fuelling even more dangerous floods, fires and droughts for Australian communities. While families are already paying the price of climate disasters, the Albanese Government is giving Woodside a free pass to pollute for 45 years.\u201d <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIf the Government wants its 2035 climate target to be taken seriously, it must stop approving coal and gas projects. Every new fossil fuel project unleashes more pollution here and abroad. The government can\u2019t credibly claim to be doing everything possible to fight climate change while waving through more pollution.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Not only are these fossil fuel companies predatory – they are also parasitic – paying next to no tax despite their massive profits which the wars (they support and nurture) in Ukraine and West Asia have increased even more.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The latest Eco-bastardry from Labor<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Good ol’ “Albo” claims to be worried about the impact plastic waste laws would have on his beloved citizenry’s hip pocket. We are supposed to swallow this faux compassion yet again, from the man who signed us up to AUKUS,<\/a><\/span> and who refuses to tax his donors or slash the subsidies they receive. <\/span><\/p>\n Bioplastics is a fledgling industry in Australia that could have used some government support. So too the recycling models that do not seem all that successful in Australia.
