Whereas a politician can steal millions by betraying the Public Trust and look forward to a tax-paid retirement and a <a style=\"color: #000000;\" title=\"Revolving doors\" href=\"https:\/\/www.michaelwest.com.au\/revolving-doors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sinecure after politics<\/a> employed by the beneficiaries of their corrupt behaviour.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\">There is a correlation between <a style=\"color: #000000;\" title=\"I think we're absolutely going backwards, and there are a number of things that we need to do, and ultimately we need to stop using the criminal justice system to manage poverty.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/radionational\/programs\/lawreport\/law-and-poverty-sackville-report\/8526818\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">class<\/a>, <a style=\"color: #000000;\" title=\"Despite 432 Indigenous deaths in custody since 1991, no one has ever been convicted.
